We are extremely proud of our St. Ann's Catholic School alumni and would love the opportunity to feature our alums and show the St. Ann's community what they've been up to. This month's Alumni Spotlight is: Brianna Bertelson
Brianna is the second oldest (and most fun!) daughter of Dan and Karen Bertelson. Brianna, as well as all five of her siblings, grew up in Midland and she has resided here for the past four years. After graduating from St. Ann's Catholic School (preschool through 8th grade), Brianna attended Midland High School and then the University of Wyoming, graduating with an Engineering degree. She also received an MBA from the University of Texas Permian Basin and currently works as an engineer at Endeavor Energy Resources here in Midland.
She volunteers her time with a multitude of non-profits in the Permian Basin, serving as a board member of the Midland Rape Crisis and Children's Advocacy Center and a committee member of Wine, Women, and Shoes. She is also an active member of the Midland Junior League, St. Ann's "Spirit and Spirits" group, Women's Energy Network, Young Professionals in Energy, and Toastmaster International (District 23). In her spare time, Brianna loves traveling and getting to experience other cultures, hiking anywhere and everywhere, is an avid half marathon runner (and the occasional full marathon).
"St. Ann's helped shape me into the person I am today by instilling core Christian values with hard work, determination, and time management that can reward you with success. The high standard academics and friendship established at St. Ann's Catholic School has carried over into my life today. My closest friendships to this day are with the people that I grew up with at St. Ann's, and it comes to show that the St. Ann's School family never goes away. I love that I can go anywhere and reach out to childhood St. Ann's friends and meet up with them...and we pick up right where we left off. We were all raised with the same Christian values and have shared so many memories of our time there, and its incredible to see how many successful people have graduated from this school."
