St. Ann's School will foster Spiritual Development in children by cultivating a community of engaged believers, learners and members in the family of Jesus Christ.- Participate in daily prayer, religious instruction and weekly celebrations of the Eucharist.
- Explore the Catholic faith through scripture, doctrine and morality.
- Collaborate and coordinate retreats and prayer services for students.
- Involve students in acts of service for one another, church, local and global communities.
- Offer religious opportunities to develop the spirituality of students and their families.
- Incorporate a research-based learning that actively implements and enhances critical thinking skills and problem solving.
- Implement differentiated instruction and teaching strategies for the multiple learning styles of the students.
- Explore academic standards with a national and global focus.
- Integrate technology into all learning areas.
- Review curriculum continuum to ensure academic excellence.
- Assess student work to support student learning.
- Communicate student information and progress with parents and teachers.
- Integrate a value-based family life and sexuality program in the religion curriculum for all grade levels.
- Guide students through a counseling program to develop self-esteem, personal confidence and goal setting.
- Encourage students to show initiative, take personal responsibility for learning, manage time wisely, find a voice in writing and discover their passions.
- Guide students in respectful attitudes towards all people through service, classroom curriculum, rules and procedures.
- Gain self-confidence and competence through assignments, projects, plays and presentations.
- Involve students in leadership development opportunities (i.e. public speaking, student ambassadors, other programs).
- Provide a safe, secure and supportive learning environment.
- Offer students opportunities to increase fitness through a variety of rhythmic and aerobic activities in the physical education curriculum.
- Participate in directed and non-directed physical activities which foster Christian sportsmanship.
- Learn and develop skills for team and life-long sports.
- Educate students on nutrition to promote a healthier lifestyle.
