St. Ann's Catholic School: a family dedicated to forming students in faith, knowledge and character.

Goals and Objectives

St. Ann's School will foster Spiritual Development in children by cultivating a community of engaged believers, learners and members in the family of Jesus Christ.
  1. Participate in daily prayer, religious instruction and weekly celebrations of the Eucharist.
  2. Explore the Catholic faith through scripture, doctrine and morality.
  3. Collaborate and coordinate retreats and prayer services for students.
  4. Involve students in acts of service for one another, church, local and global communities.
  5. Offer religious opportunities to develop the spirituality of students and their families.
St. Ann's School will develop the Intellectual Development of students to achieve success and reach their fullest potential.
  1. Incorporate a research-based learning that actively implements and enhances critical thinking skills and problem solving.
  2. Implement differentiated instruction and teaching strategies for the multiple learning styles of the students.
  3. Explore academic standards with a national and global focus.
  4. Integrate technology into all learning areas.
  5. Review curriculum continuum to ensure academic excellence.
  6. Assess student work to support student learning.
St. Ann's School will direct the Personal Development of each child by collaborating with parents to help each child realize his/her spiritual, academic and creative gifts.
  1. Communicate student information and progress with parents and teachers.
  2. Integrate a value-based family life and sexuality program in the religion curriculum for all grade levels.
  3. Guide students through a counseling program to develop self-esteem, personal confidence and goal setting.
  4. Encourage students to show initiative, take personal responsibility for learning, manage time wisely, find a voice in writing and discover their passions.
St. Ann's School promotes the Social Development of each child to foster spiritual growth, emotional intelligence and character development.
  1. Guide students in respectful attitudes towards all people through service, classroom curriculum, rules and procedures.
  2. Gain self-confidence and competence through assignments, projects, plays and presentations.
  3. Involve students in leadership development opportunities (i.e. public speaking, student ambassadors, other programs).
  4. Provide a safe, secure and supportive learning environment.
St. Ann's School assists in the Physical Development of each child by providing a program of health and physical education centered on Christian respect for others and themselves.
  1. Offer students opportunities to increase fitness through a variety of rhythmic and aerobic activities in the physical education curriculum.
  2. Participate in directed and non-directed physical activities which foster Christian sportsmanship.
  3. Learn and develop skills for team and life-long sports.
  4. Educate students on nutrition to promote a healthier lifestyle.
